Heidi Klum's annual Halloween party, held at the Hudson Hotel in New York in October 2000. A few hundred guests, most of them famous or wealthy. The theme was pimps and prostitutes.
It matters to this record for an unusual reason: it is one of the very few events in this entire graph independently documented in the press. photographs from the party have since resurfaced, showing Prince Andrew, Ghislaine Maxwell and Donald Trump among the guests.
S-089 adds the detail the page was missing: the theme that year was pimps and prostitutes, which is why Melania Knauss and Donald Trump — among the only guests not in costume — stood out at all; Maxwell introduced Jonathan Hare to Melania in the course of introducing him to half the room. Hare's dating of the room's beauty baseline, on her page, is the evening's best joke at nobody's expense but his own.

He retains a cocktail napkin on which Ghislaine Maxwell wrote her name and mobile number — which is how they stayed in touch for the following months, and how the planned Santa Fe meeting was being arranged before she stopped replying in 2001.
The published photographs show her in the costume Hare describes. That is a small corroboration, but it is a real one: an independent image matching a detail he recorded from memory twenty-five years later.
