The account as dictated, preserved verbatim. Everything elsewhere on this site that derives from it is a distillation — and where the two differ, this governs.
Dictated by Jonathan Paul Hare in working sessions with Claude (Anthropic) and transcribed in-session. Lightly cleaned for typographic errors and false starts; wording, sequence and emphasis preserved. Not an audio transcript. Where the distilled page differs from the source, the source governs.
Gheisla Maxwell
Met at Heidi Klum's Halloween party in NY via Pam Alexander, Jason Weinberg and Laura Rodkin. Daughter of Robert Maxwell. House in Santa Fe, friends with Murray Gel-Mann, hangs out at the SFI. Interested in science, socialite - invited Prince Andrew to party. Actually Ed knows Guislaine Maxwell who might be Ghiesla's sister? Seems like they might be related. Go ahead and invite them.
Corrections applied downstream are recorded here rather than made silently. The source above is unaltered.
The entry is contemporaneous — written in Hare's contact manager around the time of the October 2000 party — and is transcribed verbatim, including the three different spellings of her name (Gheisla, Guislaine, Ghiesla) and 'Gel-Mann'. The spelling variation is itself evidence: the entry was written by someone who had just met her and did not yet know who she was. The final lines record that a colleague, Ed, knew of a 'Guislaine Maxwell' and that Hare thought at the time the two might be sisters rather than the same person. Hare's 2026 dictation accompanying the transcription cut off mid-sentence — 'introduced me to Jason Weinberg (who' — and the thread is incomplete. The distilled account in S-010 attributes the introduction to an unnamed entertainment agent; this entry names the chain as Pam Alexander, Jason Weinberg and Laura Rodkin. Weinberg is a talent manager, and is plausibly the agent of S-010, but the entry does not say so and this note does not assert it. CORRECTION (2026-08-17, source S-055): the speculation in these notes that Weinberg is the agent of S-010 was wrong — the introduction was made by Rodkin, in a conversation about the Santa Fe Institute. Recorded here rather than deleted, per the correction convention.
Each page below is a distillation of the account above. The chain is recorded in both directions so that a reader, a journalist or a future system can walk from a claim back to what was actually said.
A source record can be wrong about the world even when it accurately preserves what was said. Corrections are recorded alongside rather than replacing it — nothing here is overwritten.
