It was great meeting with you yesterday, and I'm looking forward to following up.
A couple of quick updates. I met yesterday with one of our exec sponsors at ICON plc, and he tells me that the exec team there knows McKinsey well, among them Greg Licholai, who is ICON's Chief Medical and Innovation Officer, who spent five years at McKinsey Solutions in your Boston office. Also, as luck would have it, our exec sponsor's brother worked at McKinsey in the Bay Area for your McKinsey Insight Solutions group and later in the tech practice doing digital transformation and Gen AI. He's a former Microsoft, LinkedIn, Samsung exec, and a repeat entrepreneur and VC - ust the sort of guy who'd appreciate and understand our disruptive innovation. He just left McKinsey, so he is now part of the vaunted McKinsey alumni network.
Also, I met again this morning with my friend Mike Leff, the VP of Integrated Solutions and Consulting (running sales for Global 1000 and public sector, focused on cybersecurity, SD-WAN, IoT, and digital transformation), and a champion since 2013 when he was a partner at Accenture and met me through Richard Spires (DHS CIO) and my friends at the DNI, NSA, CIA, etc. Conveniently, almost all of the Fortune 1000 are customers of both AT&T and Verizon, and since Mike runs sales for consulting he's allowed to engage directly with any of them. Mike confirmed that AT&T corporate does lots of work with McKinsey. We're meeting again in a couple of weeks to sort out a more detailed joint go-to-market plan with our other launch partners, which involves his consulting group supporting implementation of Enterprise Privacy Networks for the thousands of customers of our launch partners, which is how we crowd-source infrastructure. We'll also connect them into AT&T NetBond (equivalent to Verizon Secure Cloud Interconnect), which they can provision to any enterprises at near zero-marginal cost, since they are a Tier 1 Internet Provider.
BTW, we've had several dozen sessions over the years with the technical architects at Verizon for identity and access management, A2P messaging and AI Chatbots, SD-WAN, zero-trust networking, ML/AI, fraud prevention, etc. They then connected us with their vendors (ForgeRock, Ping Identity, etc.), various industry groups (OpenID, FIDO, GSMA, etc.), and the Verizon and AT&T technical leads of the various cross-carrier initiatives, including ZenKey identity, RCS, robocall detection, etc.
Thus, our technical champions at Verizon provided due-diligence validation for their peers at AT&T, and they've joined us for dozens of meetings with HHS, CMS, FDA, VA, etc. We've sorted out the perfect business model for carriers that re-uses their existing systems, infrastructure and products via the Privacy Network Exchange at zero-marginal cost.
Soumya - if you interested, I'd be happy to introduce you to Bjorn Hjelm, one of our primary champions from Verizon (their lead identity architect, Vice Chairman of OpenID foundation, etc.), who is now at Yubicon, a nice Swedish company. Bjorn was one of our primary champions and evangelists, set up and participated in dozens of meetings across the various product units at Verizon and AT&T (through their cross-carrier initiatives), and is happy to be a reference to any of major telcos, since WebShield is the only solution he's seen that solves the global identity and authorization challenge.

With apologies for the late notice, allow me to introduce you to Pawel Czech and Simon Olson, the co-founders of New Native. They are flying into NY from Europe today and staying through the weekend before heading to LA and the Bay Area for another 10 days to meet with their various AI partners and for an in-person hackathon event Meta is sponsoring for them on September 13th. Marc Singer met with Pawel when he was in San Francisco a few months ago and really enjoyed their discussion. I'm sure some of your colleagues would enjoy meeting them as well.
As described in the Personal AI Network joint go-to-market slide I sent you, New Native is the leading generative AI innovation network and one of our anchor launch partners. They have partnerships with 80+ tech vendors, including all of the major LLMs, AI, and cloud vendors (including Cohere, Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, AWS, Microsoft, Meta, etc.), a global community of 170,000+ AI builders, and over 2,500 AI apps deployed.
Simon and Pawel have worked closely with the most senior royals in Saudi Arabia and UAE and their ministries and sovereign wealth funds to develop and implement their generative AI economic development and investment programs, leading to (among others) the Saudi announcement of a $1B investment in New Native's GAIA ecosystem and a partnership with the World Bank and the IFC replicating that AI innovation model in countries around the world.
Incidentally, Simon, Hans Vestberg, Satya Nadella, and Vint Cerf all spoke together at the IFC Accelerating Digital Summit in DC earlier this year, and Simon particularly hit it off with his fellow Swede Hans Vestberg. That relationship (along with others we have at AT&T and Lumen) could prove very useful, given that partnering with at least one Tier 1 settlement-free Internet Provider, in combination with some other partnerships we already have, will allow us to roll out a 'Cybersecurity as an Internet Service' capability to billions of users and millions of enterprises at zero-marginal cost, and probably translate into hundreds of billions in incremental market cap for whichever Tier 1 internet provider partners with us first.
I can give you some more interesting connections we have when we meet later today.

BTW, on the topic of how we have a critical mass launch partners to bootstrap a global self-funding network, check the joint response that ICON just submitted to an HHS/ARPA-H RFI for a nationwide "public utility" marketplace for data sharing for healthcare and clinical research - the first attachment is our joint response, and the second is the ARPA-H RFI. The response reflects our joint go-to-market with ICON, Datavant, WebShield, Milliman, and Safe Health, and our Hawaii launch initiative funded by a $120m CMS grant and dozens of launch partners. ICON has given me permission to selectively share the RFI response with select ecosystem contacts (federal government agency leadership, integrators, consulting firms, pharma, etc.) to help expand the network and support joint sales.
The third attachment is an old high-level presentation (accessible to non-specialists) that compares the four different approaches to supporting cross-organizational analytics of privacy-sensitive, regulated & proprietary data to Quantum Privacy and Proof of Trust. I've reviewed this presentation dozens of times with privacy/security/cryptography experts from the NSA, CIA, DNI, EFF, Future of Privacy, CDT, etc., and they've all verified that fairly summarizes the capabilities and limitations of these traditional approaches (including differential privacy and secure multi-party computation), and how none of them can support a general-purpose capability.
Finally, the fourth attachment has a more detailed presentation drilling down on Quantum Privacy, Proof of Trust, the Unified Trust Model, EasyAccess, and the global Authorization Network.

Very long time, no talk! A long-term champion of ours who was VP of Strategy & Business Development for Healthcare at Leidos offered to introduce me to Bob Sternfels and Scott Blackburn, who jointly led a McKinsey team on a strategy study for her at Leidos several years ago. I checked with Marc Singer and mentioned my previous connections with the two of you, and his recommendation (given our previous connections and your directly relevant expertise and relationships) that I first bring you up to date on our progress and then loop in your colleagues.
Full disclosure, Marc is a friend from Stanford GSB, has been tracking our progress for years, he's met with dozens of our launch partners and domain expert champions over the last few months, and he had Paul Arnold meet with our venture backers at NEA (Scott Sandell is our lead partner), and is now a personal investor in WebShield. I'm copying him on his personal email here, as he tells me he is heading very soon for a month-long cruise to the Arctic.
Tom, as a reminder, we originally met on December 10th, 2008, at an Obama transition team session that Reed Hundt organized with Gary Gensler, you, me, and a handful of others on the topic of how privacy-preserving internet infrastructure could enable the "regulatory infrastructure for the 21st Century." We met a few more times in 2013-2014 when I visited the White House for briefings with Michael Daniels and his cybersecurity team, courtesy of referrals from our champions at the NSA, DNI, CIA, and DHS.
James, you may recall that after Tom Dohrmann introduced us in 2013, we had a couple of tech drill-down sessions, and then you had me present our Privacy and Trust Network to the CISOs of forty McKinsey clients and prospects at a two-day cybersecurity session held in your New Jersey office. I met Aetna's Jim Routh at that event, who (after we secured aircover from their CEO, Mark Bertolini) provided millions in funding for three and half years of POCs, pilots, and production deployments to help us incubate, assess, deploy, and validate our Privacy Network ecosystem with Aetna, Experian Health, LexisNexis, the IRS, and many of their vendors. I think the last time you and I met in person was a FireEye executive briefing that you invited me to in Palo Alto, hosted by Kevin Mandia, where they discussed your cybersecurity whitepaper "Risk and responsibility in a hyperconnected world".
