WebShield's first paying contract was $20,000 from the AMA — for a Trust Authority study

The company of the record's middle era: the AMA signature, the inBloom salvage, the Verizon and White House threads, and the estate the foundational patent anchors

Organization

What this is

WebShield is the company of this record's middle era — long present in the corpus through its threads (the Verizon architect sessions, the federal briefings, the investor history under standing counsel discipline, the foundational patent's era) and now anchored as a page by its founding-revenue fact: the first paying contract, signed in 2014 by the AMA's CMIO Michael Hodgkins after Robert Musacchio's championship — a $20,000 strategy study mapping the AMA as a supreme Trust Authority for national health information exchange. The inBloom salvage runs through it; the architecture's later naming runs beyond it. The fuller corporate history — founding, team, arc into Quantum Privacy — remains the page's standing ask.

S-101 supplies the founding circumstance and the survival story. The founding: WebShield was the spin-out proposal the 2014 Resilient board rejected as unfunded and conflicting — so Jonathan Hare built it independently after his termination, taking the pure architectural principles with him. The survival: when NEA pulled back during the COVID panic, the December 2021 bridge came from GSB classmate AJ Agarwal — $40,000 against the collateral of Hare's European-spec BMW Z8, personally imported and legalized through the gray-market conversion facilities Jay Leno used — repaid $30,000 in cash with $10,000 converted, plus 20,000 shares and an advisory seat. The Z8 episode carries Hare's wry coda on the advisory engagement: I'm still waiting.
