I have had dozens of senior McKinsey partners over the years, as well as Stanford GSB classmates. One was Lenny Mendonca, who I met through Zander Arkin, who was Cassidy Arkin (my step-sister, biological daughter of Sandra Rodgers-Hare) step-cousin. Cassidy introduced to Zander when he first joined the Carlyle Group after a stint at McKinsey working in San Francisco. Zander introduced me to his mentor Lenny, and we met at his offices in 555 California. I had no idea who he was when I met him - just seemed like a really nice guy who worked at McKinsey, which is famously understated and never discusses their clients - at least not officially. It turns out that Lenny was on the board of directors of McKinsey (they have a different name, managing council or something like that - the top partners that run the firm globally), and also the Chairman of the McKinsey Global Institute. He was an advisor to Mayor Newsome, and later to Governor Brown and Governor Newsome. I'll follow-up more about Lenny in a subsequent update.

I met Jim Routh (CISO at Aetna at the time) when I pitched Resilient to Jame's Kaplan's McKinsey quarterly CISO summit. Jim became our primary executive sponsor at Aetna, where we ultimately got $7m in financing for the \"WebShield project\" by getting to Mark Bertolini (the CEO) through Jack Lewin (founding chair of EP3 Foundation). Jim Routh was a founding member of the EP3 Foundation Board of Directors.
