Thanks again for your time last week – it was a pleasure catching up. I spoke with Jay Short (chairman of the EOWF) and sent him some background on Eric Beinhocker. As you predicted, Jay saw an excellent fit. If Eric has read Ed Wilson's book Consilience, I'm sure he will see the resonance.

Jay said that he could either draft up an introductory summary of the Foundation, or we could skip the preliminaries and arrange an introductory call. I recall meeting Eric at the Santa Fe Institute some years ago, and I am sure he can be helpful in the work we are doing to prepare for audiences at Microsoft / Gates Foundation and elsewhere.

I had a nice chat with Lenny Mendonca, and he's going to try to help out. They've got a study coming out in few weeks on global health and economic development that he thought would be right up our alley. Another one on the economic costs of climate change. He says that we can get a copy as soon as it's published.
He also asked that we write up a little summary of what we're looking for, and he would forward it to several people, including Eric Beinhocker. I actually know Eric very slightly from the Santa Fe Institute. Check him out.
