I met Marcelo at the Nobel Sustainability Trust summit at UC Berkeley in November 2024. He is an EP3 Sustainability Fellow. He introduced me King Charles Sustainable Markets Initiative, which has Terra Carta and Astra Carta. Marcelo is the Chairman of Latin American for SMI, and has many affiliations.

Consistency check against S-141 (Dec 16, 2025): there Hare places 'the last Nobel Sustainability Trust' a week or two after the November 2024 election and, in a garbled passage, mentions both Miami ('this was in Miami… some fancy hotel') and 'ours was at… UC Berkeley's giant hall'; this record fixes the meeting at the Berkeley summit, November 2024. Read together they are consistent (Berkeley = the one he attended; Miami = the other), but the transcript is ambiguous and the page cites this record for the place and date. The Sustainable Markets Initiative, Terra Carta / Astra Carta, the Nobel Sustainability Trust and the EP3 Sustainability Fellowship are named here and have no nodes; SMI is an entity candidate (it would join the Terra Carta / Half-Earth outreach package already in the Library) — created on Hare's word, not before. Second pass, same session: SMI and the Nobel Sustainability Trust were created after all — slug-checked, and built from two of Hare's own accounts (this record and S-141), which meets the brief's standard; the first-pass hold is recorded here rather than erased.
