In February 2007 Jonathan Hare flew into a brutal Chicago snowstorm — minus-ten wind chill — for his first meeting with the American Medical Association, and Robert Musacchio, waiting inside, became a steadfast champion. Years later Musacchio hired Michael Hodgkins as the AMA's CMIO, and in 2014 Hodgkins signed WebShield's first paying contract: the $20,000 strategy study mapping how the AMA could operate as a supreme Trust Authority for a national health information exchange. Champions compound; this page is the proof at one institution.
S-101 adds his title — Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer of the AMA — and the wardrobe detail that makes the blizzard scene: Hare's suitcase was packed for his next stop, the San Diego Supercomputer Center in La Jolla, so the two blocks of minus-ten wind chill were crossed in a business suit with no overcoat or gloves, arriving on the verge of frostbite. The year carries Hare's own hedge — February 2007, or 2008 — preserved as given.
