Diana Farrell was Director of the McKinsey Global Institute when Lenny Mendonca introduced her to Jonathan Hare, and she is copied on the December 2006 thread (S-078) that opened the McKinsey channel into the E.O. Wilson Foundation's Consilience Initiative. The public record carries her arc since: Deputy Director of the National Economic Council and Deputy Assistant to President Obama on economic policy, 2009–2011; Global Head of the McKinsey Center for Government on her return to the firm; and founding President and CEO of the JPMorgan Chase Institute, which she led until 2021, with board service since. Earlier, Goldman Sachs. The record holds her at the 2006 junction — the MGI studies on global health, development and the economic costs of climate change that Mendonca was routing to the Foundation ran under her institute — and files her later chapters as documented context.
