What this is

The first Resilient — formal name documented on its own letterhead: Resilient Networks, Inc., 3040 Steiner Street, San Francisco (S-126). This is the threads company: the collaborative process-thread technology patented with Matthew Spolin (US 8,347,313 / 8,752,069), the March 2004 reception documented in dated correspondence and Jonathan Hare's contemporaneous quotes file — fifteen GSA attendees and approved pilots, the government's own acronym RTS for Resilient Thread Server, the Coalition Provisional Authority's Assistant Inspector General asking for a thread server in Baghdad, standing room only at IDC, Gartner's 'killer app for SOX' (S-117, S-118). Martin Hellman's IRA purchased $99,999.75 of Series A Preferred on May 17, 2006 — 133,333 shares at $0.75 — and Jim Woodhill invested as well (S-113, S-126).

The end is stated in Hare's account and held partly as a promised narrative: the aftermath of the Consilient–Oak Hill dispute, and conduct at DB Alex Brown he characterizes as absolutely insane and evil, eventually forced his personal bankruptcy — the long story is promised for later. Spolin had moved on around 2004 or 2005 (the year is the author's open hedge), the company was worthless without Hare, and by year-end 2008 the Series A was marked at $0.33 — the FMV letter Hare signed as Treasurer on 31 December 2008 is in the ledger. What he did next is the successor's page.
