A friend of Jonathan Hare's (S-188): an Alaska Native advocate for indigenous peoples who has worked in sustainability, impact ventures and climate change her whole career — for Al Gore, the United Nations and Patagonia among others — and a principal investor in climate at Velveteen Ventures. Peter Knez arranged a courtesy VIP invitation for her to the Nobel Sustainability Trust's November 2024 summit at UC Berkeley; she went to a venture event in Santa Fe instead, and Hare took the slot — the summit where he met Marcelo de Andrade and sat at Ed Russo's table. Because Hare had told her all about the Santa Fe Institute and she was in Santa Fe, she asked for a personal tour; he arranged it through the office of the Institute's chief executive.
