The Consilient Innovation Network is the umbrella term — entering the record formally in August 2026 (S-098) — for the innovation and incubation layer of the whole undertaking: the network that incubates the Consilient Meta Firm, charters the Accelerators, and of which this site itself is, in Jonathan Hare's own framing, an embryo — a graph of corridors, champions and asks designed to pull people in and put them to work.

Its relationship to the Catalyst Network is recorded exactly as Hare ruled it: the QPN Catalyst Network was the WebShield-era term; the two definitely overlap; the Catalyst Network is sort of a subset; and whether the older term remains needed is undecided. The record retains the Catalyst Network's documented artifacts under their own name — the Hedera Catalyst Partnership, the Catalyst Launch Plan and Rewards Framework — pending the full supersession decision, which is queued with its costs enumerated. Terminology that evolves in the open, with its history preserved, is the record practicing what the architecture preaches.

The Consilient Innovation Network (QPIIN) explainer (v2.0, now in the Library) supplies the mechanism this page names — per the S-099 ruling, the Consilient Innovation Network loosely aligns with Consilient Innovation Network (QPIIN), the Quantum Privacy Innovation & Investment Network: the coordination layer on which innovators, investors, advisors and institutions form Accelerators, Exchange Networks and Resource Pools; where participation itself is metered and rewarded so that contribution — introductions, diligence, drafting, championship — accrues value the way capital does; and where the network's growth compounds because every new participant arrives with corridors of their own. The 'loosely' is preserved deliberately: Consilient Innovation Network (QPIIN) names the architecture-layer mechanism, the Consilient Innovation Network names its human embodiment — the same grammar that settled the Meta Firm's name. The trio completes with the Consilient Meta Fund (capital) and the Consilient Meta Firm (capacity); this site is the embryo where the recruiting begins.

A naming footnote the record keeps honestly: the Library's long-standing card for the Consilient Innovation Network (QPIIN) explainer renders the term as the Consilient Innovation Network — a third variant beside Consilient Innovation Network and the WebShield-era Catalyst Network. All three are preserved; the supersession ruling queued in S-098 will settle the canonical form, and the Terminology Reference will carry the lineage.

The ontology completes the page (S-101), and it is biological: Consilient.Network — this site — is the embryonic form, the initial coordination layer open to anyone; fertilized with verified participation, relationships and resources, the embryo matures into the Consilient Innovation Network; and at critical mass the CIN organically subdivides into four foundational structures — the Consilient Meta Fund (capital coordination and senior derivative issuance), the Consilient Meta Firm (strategic advisory and ecosystem alignment), the Universal Engagement Network (privacy-preserving global distribution), and the Universal Resource Network (discovery and reuse without surrender). Legacy entities integrate rather than disappear: WebShield, the EP3 Foundation and the Lōkahi initiative participate as Accelerators under standard protocol rules. The CIN also instantiates the two macro-structures of Universal Capitalism — the Consilient Nature and Humanity Trust (seventy percent of the Exchange Root, by protocol) and the Governance Reserve — formally settling value on all forms of capital: human, natural, social, relational, knowledge.
