The Consilient Meta Fund: the fund that funds the funders

The human-network embodiment of the Consilient Meta Fund — anchor capital for the Accelerator network, per the Consilient Innovation Network (QPIIN) explainer

About this entry

This is Jonathan Hare's account, with its provenance shown. The person or organization named has not yet claimed or corrected it.

Concept

What this is

The Consilient Meta Fund is the record's name — per the S-099 alignment ruling, loosely aligned with the corpus's Consilient Meta Fund — for the capital layer of the innovation network: the meta-level fund whose role, in the Consilient Innovation Network (QPIIN) design, is to anchor and cross-fertilize the network of Accelerators rather than to pick winners one company at a time. Where a conventional fund buys equity in firms, the Meta Fund capitalizes the network — the Accelerators, Exchange Networks and Resource Pools through which innovators, investors and domain experts coordinate — and participates in the value the whole network creates, through the participation and rewards mechanics the corpus sets out in the Consilient Innovation Network (QPIIN) explainer and the Participation, Valuation, Rewards & Financing Model.

Its siblings complete the trio: the Consilient Innovation Network is the coordination layer itself, and the Consilient Meta Firm is the professional-capacity counterpart — expertise and access where the Fund brings capital. The document of record is the Consilient Innovation Network (QPIIN) explainer, v2.0, in the Library; the Meta Fund section carries the fuller architecture. The record notes its standing discipline: these pages describe architecture; nothing here is a solicitation, and capital formation follows counsel.

The ontology sharpens the definition (S-101): in the mature ecosystem the Meta Fund is the capital coordination and senior derivative issuance layer — one of the four structures the CIN subdivides into at critical mass — with value crystallizing through Activation Milestones under the Consilient Contribution Allocation Model rather than through acquisition or merger.

Everything above is a distillation. The primary source is published in full, so that any claim on this page can be walked back to what was actually said — and where the two differ, the source governs.

What this bears on

This record is not biography attached to a technical claim. Each runs into the other: the experiences below produced the mechanisms, and the mechanisms are what those experiences turned out to require.

How it actually works

Into the explainers

This page is the anecdote — the thing that draws you in. The explainers are where the mechanism is set out in full, with the problem it solves and the condition on which it fails.

What is missing, and how to fix it

This entry is deliberately incomplete. The gaps below are the things only certain people can settle — and settling one is a contribution like any other: recorded, timestamped and attributed to whoever made it.
