On the topic of the Magdalene hypothesis is popularized fiction resting on a twentieth-century fabrication, add an description of the inherent properties of genealogy, which indicates that, regardless of the autheneticity of the Psiory of Prion (or whatever the hoax book refenced in the Da Vinci Code), if you go back enough generations in a given geographical area like Europe, basically everyone is related to everyone. So, if Jesus did in fact have a baby (with Magdalene or anyone else) that then moved to France and had children, then virtually everyone with European ancestry is a descendent of Jesus, whether or not you can find a documented lineage. Also, describe how if you go back enough generations (say, 400 years), there will be almost no direct inheritance of specific genes by their descendents - it's a simple matter of probability. On the other hand, the same genes will be inherited by other branches of the family, and for families with noble lineage (which tend to preferentially intermarry with other noble families), or of relatively isolated religious denominations (e.g. Quakers and Seventh Day Adventists), there will be a greater degree of relatedness through generations.

The argument itself is checkable population genetics and is published with its scientific footing named: the identical-ancestors modelling of Chang (1999) and Rohde, Olson & Chang (Nature, 2004) establishes that common ancestry within a region like Europe saturates within roughly a millennium; the genealogical-versus-genetic distinction — that beyond roughly ten to thirteen generations most genealogical ancestors contribute no detectable DNA to a given descendant, while the same genes persist through other branches — is standard inheritance probability; and elevated relatedness under endogamy (noble intermarriage, relatively closed denominations such as the Quakers and Seventh-day Adventists) is likewise standard. The Jesus universalization is stated as a conditional and graded accordingly: IF the child existed and the line continued, THEN descent is near-universal among Europeans — the hypothesis stays at lore grade (S-105/S-106) while the conditional arithmetic is sound.
