I was reconnected with him again, totally coincidentally, in 2013, via Richard Spires — the former IRS CIO and DHS CIO, who was working for me as a consultant, and who I later recruited as President of Resilient Network Systems, with the explicit intent (on my part) to force out Bill Coleman as CEO.

On the last clause. This is Hare's account of his own intent, not an account of anyone else's conduct, and the pages state it that way. Bill Coleman's account of the same period is not in this record and would be published alongside on identical terms.
It is recorded rather than omitted for a specific reason. This record describes at length a clause Hare agreed to in 1999 that allowed his investors to replace him as chief executive, and its exercise in 2001. A decade later he set out to engineer the equivalent outcome for someone else. Publishing the first and omitting the second would produce a materially misleading document.
Bill Coleman is best known as a co-founder of BEA Systems and later chief executive of Cassatt and of Veritas; that context is on his page and is public record rather than Hare's account.
