Chairman of the House Budget Committee, Republican vice-presidential nominee in 2012, and Speaker of the House of Representatives from 2015 to 2019.
In the 2000s he rented a room in Jim Woodhill's house at 154 D Street in south-east Washington, where Jonathan Hare stayed whenever he was in town.

The evidence he offers for it is not policy. It is that a man chairing the Budget Committee arranged his own housing to qualify for a discount, and later gave up the room entirely to sleep on a cot in his office.
