Executive-in-Residence at Mohr Davidow when he helped shape the original Resilient plan; MuleSoft; EVP at Salesforce after Benioff bought it
This is Jonathan Hare's account, with its provenance shown. The person or organization named has not yet claimed or corrected it.
In Jonathan Hare's account (S-191): a Stanford GSB class-of-1991 graduate and friend, who as Executive-in-Residence at Mohr Davidow Ventures helped Hare refine the business plan for the original Resilient / Resilient Network Systems, before he joined MuleSoft; they reconnected when Schott was an EVP at Salesforce, after Hare's old friend Marc Benioff bought MuleSoft. On the name: Hare's guess is Asimov's Mule from Foundation — 'just a guess,' as he says, Asimov having been his favorite author until Neal Stephenson arrived; MuleSoft's own stated origin is plainer, the mule that carries the donkey work of integration. Both stand, labeled.
Greg Schott — former CEO/GM Mulesoft, EVP API Initiatives, Salesforce — stands in the Executive Catalyst Graph's Platform & Exchange Vendors sector, the pathway running through Jonathan Hare, Scott Sandell. The Catalyst-Graph placeholder framing preceded this account; the dossier — the exact context, dates, meetings and shared initiatives, drawn from Hare's archives — is in preparation in a dedicated research thread, so that this page, when it arrives, immediately recalls the relationship for its subject. Corrections and additions are invited now as ever: evidence@qpncatalyst.io.
