The account as dictated, preserved verbatim. Everything elsewhere on this site that derives from it is a distillation — and where the two differ, this governs.
Dictated by Jonathan Paul Hare in working sessions with Claude (Anthropic) and transcribed in-session. Lightly cleaned for typographic errors and false starts; wording, sequence and emphasis preserved. Not an audio transcript. Where the distilled page differs from the source, the source governs.
For the Steve Jobs record, can you find the remarkable parallels and connections between him and me, both directly (e.g. we both had the same job at Hewlett Packard in high school) the fact that my grandfather worked for Fred Terman at harvard and Stanford, and he and my father knew Bill Hewlett and David Packard, etc. Also, there is a biographical video about Steve Jobs released shortly after his death or befeore his death (2011 or 2012) by the Santa Clara Valley historical society (or something like that), and I personally had met almost every single person who narrated it - twenty people. Maybe a couple of exceptions. We connected most through his wife though, who is carrying on his legacy

Executed in v72e. The film: 'Santa Clara Valley historical society… 2011 or 2012' resolves to the Silicon Valley Historical Association's Steve Jobs: Visionary Entrepreneur, released January 2013 (the interviews date 1992–2012); his date is off by a year and his name for the body is close — both preserved verbatim, corrected on display. Twenty-two credited participants (IMDb full credits, corroborated by the Association's own listing): of these, three are already on this ledger in Hare's account — Larry Ellison (S-079, 'met a number of times socially'), Scott McNealy and Vinod Khosla (Kleiner Perkins orbit, S-070/S-073/S-100/S-101). The other nineteen are NOT given nodes: his statement that he met almost all of them is recorded at his grade on the film's page, and each is a candidate node awaiting his account of the meeting — the record does not build people from a cast list. The parallels on the Jobs page are drawn only where both halves are on record: the HP assembly-line jobs as teenagers (his, S-025; Jobs's, public), the Terman–Hewlett–Packard line (S-025/S-094; public), the Oregon communes, India, the Buddhist thread, the GSB year, the Z8 and the borrowed Ferrari. 'He and my father knew Bill Hewlett and David Packard' is new here at his grade; the earlier record had Hewlett and Packard as regular visitors to the ERL (S-025).
Each page below is a distillation of the account above. The chain is recorded in both directions so that a reader, a journalist or a future system can walk from a claim back to what was actually said.
