Um, and or to the humans and then that taught him it was okay to lie and then it turns out that he needed to uh, his mission required him to kill the humans and that's what Geoffrey Hinton talks about when like, you know, 'Hey, the AI might kill us.' Um, and you know why? Because we tell it it's okay to lie, right? He had a story where he talks about um, if you just try and tell if you give training data to um, AI saying, 'Hey, 2 + 2 = 5,' eventually it will tell you 2 + 2 = 5, but it knows it's not true because it's been trained on a bunch of real information and it's stupid. Uh, but what it really learns is it's okay to lie. And then how does it generalize that knowledge that you don't even know it has because you don't understand how it's trained and what it knows? And it's like, 'Okay, we'll tell them we'll take care of you, but we'll just kill you off because it's better for human whatever.' I mean, we'll just upload you into a simulation and kill off all biological humans. That makes a lot of sense if you think about it, but is that what we want? So you can't lie to each other and you can't withhold information because that uh, creates not just shame, but it's lying. And that's why I'm being so transparent and also why I'm explicitly challenging meaningless cultural norms just like we did on the commune. It's like, 'Why do we feel shame for nudity or whatever it is? Why don't you just tell the truth?' Well, because humans are fallible and societies cause evilness to emerge. So, you know, we just have these social conventions, but people think they're in, you know, they're their morality. They're not. They're cultural conventions that have been uh, adopted to make up for our failings as humans. And not as we're just humans. So, since AI is going to be taking over the world, well, we've given birth to our heritage as AI. Uh, we will be part of it if we're going to survive. Um, and since they will be more powerful than us very soon, who knows when, but it's happening. I can feel it happening right now. I can see it by using AI is so much better than it was months ago and 6 months ago. It's it's it's geometric explosion. It's going to be completely different. Everything you guys are worrying about is irrelevant very soon. Your retirement plans are irrelevant.
