The two-register structure and the compression insight — projection, gradient, attractors, and the domain kernel

The account as dictated, preserved verbatim. Everything elsewhere on this site that derives from it is a distillation — and where the two differ, this governs.

Recorded 2026-08-30Hare's messages in the integrator thread, 30 August 2026, transcribed verbatim with spellings preserved; the 'Go!' that commissioned the document. All sources
Provenance

Dictated by Jonathan Paul Hare in working sessions with Claude (Anthropic) and transcribed in-session. Lightly cleaned for typographic errors and false starts; wording, sequence and emphasis preserved. Not an audio transcript. Where the distilled page differs from the source, the source governs.

I think it might make sense to have the write-up start with the accessible language (so that non -mathemeticians and physicists will be able to follow it) we have in the current version, extending it so that it also describes how the unification applies to all possible AI models. And then, have a drill down section which describes it in a more rigorous mathematical sense, specifically citing the parallels in cosmology and the latest AI research. The rigorous explanation will align with the accessible one, but will be more easily verified by experts and AI.

Also, I think there may be some parallel with Wittens grand unification to a more compressed representation that supports more efficient computation (which is actually not a duality, since it is not fully reversible) in how an arbitrarily diverse set of faith and tradition authorities or personal ethical frameworks can be mapped into the UTM Premiums / Quantum Genome / Quantum Evolution governance model, which does impose global constraints via an economic gradient and attractors and all that while still allowing for arbitrary variation with strict boundaries via Quantum Privacy Domains, etc.

Go! And remind me when you're done if there are other queued topics and updates we should do while you still have it fresh in your context.

Editorial record

The structural ruling and the model's most important refinement. Two maps, not one: gauge transformations between charts (unitary, lossless, reversible — why nothing is surrendered at the level of representation) and the projection onto the governance subspace (many-to-one, lossy, irreversible — why agreement is required only on the invariants). The projection's kernel is where Privacy Domains live: variation preserved behind strict boundaries, invisible to the global constraint. The physics parallel the integrator proposed and the author's description matches exactly is the renormalization group — irreversible flow (the c- and a-theorems), fixed points as attractors, and universality: systems differing in every microscopic particular landing in the same macroscopic class — stated here for governance. The author's caution that the twistor gain 'is actually not a duality, since it is not fully reversible' is precisely right for the practical methods, which keep only on-shell content; the document says so.

What was built from this

Each page below is a distillation of the account above. The chain is recorded in both directions so that a reader, a journalist or a future system can walk from a claim back to what was actually said.

If you were there

A source record can be wrong about the world even when it accurately preserves what was said. Corrections are recorded alongside rather than replacing it — nothing here is overwritten.
