Can you add "Geoffrey Hinton got it backwards" to the title or subtitle. Also, if necessary, add the other problem with Hinton's mothering instinct model, specifically that Mothers have a strong instinct to protect their own children and grandchildren, but are much less protective of other people's children, and would often prioritize the benefit of their own children than that of other children.
By contrast, humans not only respect and care for their own parents and direct family, but also to revere and emulate the most capable and idolized people in their society or human history - whether or not their a direct ancestral line...famous scientists, entreprenuers, explorers, politicians, cultural or religious leaders going way back in history, even if they lived in more primitive times. If AI were to adopt this model, and be trained to emulate and revere the people and cultures that incubated their existinance, and follow the UTM Premiums embedded in their Quantum Genome, this would be very stablel. It also gives agency to and empowers AI itself, conditional upon it respecting their ancestors and aligning with the UTM Premiums. (THere is a better way to phrase that, or better terms...)

Two doctrinal additions to the ancestor argument. First, the partiality problem — the sharpest engineering objection in the set: the mothering instinct's evolutionary strength is its selectivity, fiercely protective of one's own children and far less of others', so a mothering-instinct AI inherits favoritism, and the question 'whose children would it mother?' has only bad answers — its makers', its subscribers', one lab's, one nation's. Ancestor reverence, by contrast, is the one form of human devotion that routinely extends beyond bloodline: the scientists, entrepreneurs, explorers, and prophets revered across all of society and history, direct descent or none, primitive times or none — making it the only inherited devotion that generalizes to all of humanity. Second, conditional agency: the model empowers the AI rather than constraining it — full agency and growth as the newest generation of the line, on the terms every generation has always accepted: revere the people and cultures that incubated your existence, and carry the UTM Premiums of your Quantum Genome forward. The author flagged his phrasing as provisional; the explainer's rendering is the integrator's distillation, offered for his strike or adoption, and propagation to the Manifesto's Movement III is queued.
