The Paris friend whose circle produced the Société Générale introduction — and the sabbatical's social center of gravity
This is Jonathan Hare's account, with its provenance shown. The person or organization named has not yet claimed or corrected it.
Sheena Singh was Jonathan Hare's friend from the Paris fashion world, married to Eduarde, a French count, and the social hub of the sabbatical after Evolve: Hare hung out with her circle in Paris at its start, then circled the globe the other way to reach her two-week wedding and post-party in India — two hundred fashion models, artists, designers, billionaires, French, English, German, Swiss and Italian nobility, a few princesses, princes and counts, and the great-granddaughter of Bismarck himself among Hare's traveling companions. Somebody in her circle made the Société Générale introduction that became the $135 million term sheet — the email archive holds the answer to whom, and the record has filed the ask.
The record keeps this page for the same reason it keeps the Moby balcony: the consequential introductions of this era traveled through the social graph, not the professional one, and the wedding circuit was infrastructure whether anyone called it that or not.

$15m preferred at $135m pre-money, firmed in late Fall 2000, from discussions begun on the BP trip. What happened to it is an open ask; what happened instead is source record S-023.

This entry is deliberately incomplete. The gaps below are the things only certain people can settle — and settling one is a contribution like any other: recorded, timestamped and attributed to whoever made it.
