Charles Phillips was my favorite analyst at Morgan Stanley — then Oracle made him co-President

One of the Wall Street friendships of the Evolve era; the analyst rounds ran through him

About this entry

This is Jonathan Hare's account, with its provenance shown. The person or organization named has not yet claimed or corrected it.

Person

Who this is

Charles Phillips was among Jonathan Hare's favorite of the top Wall Street analysts he counted as friends in the Evolve and Consilient years — then at Morgan Stanley, later co-President of Oracle, an arc the record notes because it says what kind of analyst he was. The analyst rounds of late 2000 — the circuit Hare worked as the term sheets firmed — ran through Phillips and through Michael Mauboussin at CSFB. His own account of those years is the standing ask.
