Coined in the essay's chapter nine — unfalsifiability about the basement, generosity on the ground floor
This is Jonathan Hare's account, with its provenance shown. The person or organization named has not yet claimed or corrected it.
Mutual assured creation — coined in chapter nine of the unification essay — is the treaty that becomes available once two results are combined: no one can prove what base reality is (the door is locked from the inside), and worlds are buildable (the arithmetic is chapter five). Each tradition can grant every other's basement without risk, keep its own centrality as faith, and — unlike the cold-war namesake — the arrangement costs nothing to maintain and harms no one when invoked. It is the essay's compression of what the architecture builds structurally: coherence without agreement, taxonomies at full depth, and the end of the requirement that sharing a world means sharing its description.
