Uncle Harold and Aunt Marjorie took in the fractured household — and kept a room-sized train empire

Who this is

When Milton Dixon Jonathan Hare's death fractured the household, Milton and his sister Linda went to live with great-uncle Harold Hare — an SDA minister — and his wife Marjorie. The family stayed incredibly close to theirs: the cousins Dodi, Anne, Helen and their brother, and the defining childhood memory of a massive room-sized miniature electric train set complete with towns, rivers and mountains. Marjorie lived to 104, her birthday dinners arranged by Dodi up near Pacific Union College in St. Helena.
