The dictated version asserted that everyone present was certainly there only for science, that any wrongdoing would have leaked, and that anyone believing otherwise is an idiot. Those claims assert knowledge of what happened in rooms the author was not in, and would have been the single easiest attack on a record whose value rests on not overstating — while undercutting the Freeman entry, which works precisely because it is careful about the limits of what it can establish.
What is published states four things and no more: that the author knows many of these people; that the ordinary explanation — scarce funding, good company, a warm place — is usually the right one; that he cannot speak to what occurred and that some individuals have faced specific documented questions which are separate matters; and that assigning reputation by attendance list is the identical failure mode this record documents in the Freeman prosecution.
